My new favorite camping gadget!!!

We recently went to First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. It was soooo windy the entire trip we weren’t able to have a campfire. Since camping without a fire isn’t really camping to me, I was pretty sad. I’d seen other campers with portable fire pits, most of them propane, which got me thinking maybe that’s what I needed. Then I found this. It’s a Biolite Firepit. You can burn charcoal or wood on it. It’s lightweight and portable. The handles don’t get hot even when the fires burning. The trick is the fan that keeps the air moving at different speeds, so you can easily get a fire started, and then keep it running. It claims to be smokeless, which isn’t entirely true, but I do think there’s less smoke than a regular campfire. You can even cook on it, which we did many times over our weeklong trip at Myrtle Beach. This is one camping gadget that I’m really glad I invested in. You can get yours here: Get my own Biolite Firepit
